CP Company was created in 1975 by the legendary designer Massimo Osti. Osti’s main inspirations came from military uniforms and workwear. When searching for a name for his brand he took what he considered to be the best British tailoring brand (Chester Barrie) and the best British sportwear brand of the time (Fred Perry) and fused the two together to create the Chester Perry Company (which was shortened to CP Company).
