Adidas Originals, Adidas Trainers, Adidas Samba Trainers – Tessuti
Adidas Originals – the classic Adidas look
Any time you see three stripes branded along the side of a sports shoe, the Adidas logo is instantly recognisable. Adidas designs have a classic style that somehow never goes out of fashion. This is the inspiration behind Adidas Originals, which have been drawn from the vast archives of Adidas trainers and clothing design. From the classic support of white Adidas trainers to the funky old-school look Adidas Samba trainers, from stylish team jerseys to sports-classic track clothes, this collection is really something special.
History of Adidas trainers
As an athlete, Adi Dassler needed a better sports shoe. The traditional designs failed to provide enough support during training, leading to the collapse of the foot at the central arch. The shoes produced in his factory by the late 1940s integrated three stripes to better support the centre of the foot as athletes worked, creating a style that would be the image of Adidas trainers for the decades to come.
The first shoes were sewn by Adi and his brother on their kitchen table in 1920. Eight years later, athletes competing at the Amsterdam Olympic games were wearing Adidas trainers. In the 1958 Olympics in Melbourne, Australia, Adidas supported athletes in a new way by forging the way with sports sponsorship, and by the 1964 Tokyo Olympics 80% of competitors were sporting the distinctive three stripes on their feet. This history is the inspiration for Adidas Originals.
Adidas Samba trainers and old-school style
Adidas Samba trainers hold a particular place in sporting culture’s heart. The Adidas Samba trainers line was created for association football players to help with training on icy, hard soccer fields. The smooth lines, use of colour and distinctive tan sole of Adidas Samba trainers soon caught the eye of those in fashion circles and now the colourful three stripes are a familiar sight on the average street.
The mix of colour, comfort and casual has made all sorts of people adopt Adidas Samba trainers as their choice of shoe. Stars like Ewan McGregor, Owen Wilson and even members of Coldplay have been spotted sporting the funkiest of Adidas trainers. Their position in popular culture has led to their inclusion in this line.
