Hugo
Avant-garde for Urban Creatives
The HUGO brand offers an innovative look for men and women with a modern, urban attitude. Embodying a coolly confident style. HUGO is unconventional and progressive without being loud. The collection appeals to people for whom fashion is a matter of personal taste.
Launched in 1993 as a pure menswear line. HUGO added women’s fashion in 1998. Today the HUGO world is rounded out by shoes and accessories, with eyewear, fragrances and – starting in 2009 – watch collections produced under license.
The Belgian Bruno Pieters has been the creative mind behind HUGO since June 2007. In his capacity as art director, he lends the brand its signature look.
HUGO is currently sold in 46 countries around the world. The brand image is powered by a distinctive store concept and seasonal advertising campaigns featuring international photographers and models. Seasonal shows and events in the fields of fashion, sponsorship and film bring the brand to life and invest it with an added emotional dimension.
The first HUGO Concept Store was opened in downtown Berlin during 2005, locations in Stockholm and Düsseldorf followed shortly afterwards. Barcelona is home to the latest venue, which opened in the spring of 2008. Further locations in the world’s fashion capitals are planned.
