Missoni
The relationship between Missoni S.p.A. and Valentino Fashion Group (at that moment Marzotto S.p.A.) started in 1986. In 2002 they conceived a new line called M Missoni dedicated to a younger sophisticated woman, aged 20 to 30 years old, who would like to wear the Missoni style. On January 2009 Missoni and Valentino Fashion Group have announced the renewal of their partnership agreement for the next ten years.
The line has been a constant success due to the qualitative distribution achieved and to the rich creativity of Angela Missoni, personally involved in the creations of the collections.
First Directly Operated Store was opened in 2006 in New York, followed by Macau in 2007, and by 4 more DOS in USA and one in Hong Kong in 2008. Exclusive freestanding shops opened in the last years in Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait City, Shanghai and Beijing. In September 2009 two new DOS were opened in London (Westfield Mall) and Milan (Corso Venezia, 2).
The brand has quickly gained market share closing 2008 at around 60 million euros.
Today the M Missoni brand enjoys an exceptionally strong awareness in the fashion world.
